Do you know who made that magical liquid that allows you to cover up any errors you've made when writing your love letters? What's that? No one writes things by hand anymore? But we still make mistakes, don't we?
This project looked at the story of Bette Clair McMurray, the inventor of Mistake-Out (white correction fluid). Her story has been told incorrectly on various websites.
The fantastic people at the Oral History Program in Texas were very kind to forward me an interview Bette did over her lifetime. I consolidated this into a new publication, designed only on a typewriter. [Bette was a typist, this is why she developed the correction fluid!]
